Hacking Your Subconscious: A Guide to Changing Your Beliefs

You see everywhere that to manifest, to align, to be happier you need to change your beliefs….but how do you actually do this? aren’t beliefs stored on a deep level of our subconscious that can’t be easily changed? NOPE! (Phew)

The good news is we can actually change the beliefs we realise are not serving us just like we can learn a new skill or build a muscle in the gym. It just takes some guided, targeted and consistent action!

Inspired by the wisdom of spiritual leaders like Joe Dispenza, Eckhart Tolle, Neville Goddard, Wayne Dyer, and David R. Hawkins, here’s a practical way you can hack your subconscious and change your beliefs into empowering ones:

1. Identify and Challenge Your Inner Critic:

  • Become aware: Pay close attention to your inner dialogue. What stories are you telling yourself? Are they stories of limitation or empowerment? what is the inner chattering leaning more towards? fear, anger, jealousy? or love, kindness, joy, gratitude?
  • Question everything: Don’t take your beliefs at face value. Ask yourself: Is this belief truly true? Is it helpful? Is it necessary? Is it kind?
  • Reframe your narrative: Replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones. Instead of “I’m not good enough,” try “I am capable and worthy of success.” This is the first step, a clear new affirming belief.

2. Unleash the Power of Your Imagination:

  • Visualize your success: Imagine yourself as the person you want to be, with this more empowering belief. Visualize your goals as already achieved. Feel the emotions of joy, confidence, and fulfillment.
  • Create new realities: Use your imagination to experience new beliefs and create new realities. Imagine yourself overcoming challenges, achieving your dreams, and living a life of abundance.

3. Release Emotional Baggage:

  • Meditate: Calm your mind and release negative emotions through meditation. Never meditated before? Start by taking three deep slow breaths with eyes closed then return back to your normal breath and just watch it…feel your chest rise and fall, feel the air in your nose…set a timer for 2 minutes first and build it up to about 10-20 minutes. Practice!
  • Journal your feelings: Writing down your thoughts and feelings can help you process and release them. Journalling helps make sense of the jumble in your head, when you see things on paper it’s easier to see where tweaks need to be made.

4. Embrace the Present Moment:

  • Focus on the now: Break free from negative thought patterns by focusing on the present moment.
  • Practice mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness practices like meditation, yoga, or tai chi to cultivate awareness and presence.

5. Reprogram Your Subconscious:

  • Repeat positive affirmations: Regularly repeat positive affirmations to reprogram your subconscious mind. BUT YOU HAVE TO FEEL IT! don’t just blindly repeat the positive mantras, feel every word. Feel being the positive affirmation…e.g. what does it feel like believing this new nice thing?
  • Consistency is key: Consistently reinforce your desired beliefs through visualization and repetition. Like anything, you have to practice it daily. Don’t overwhelm yourself here though.

6. Tap into Emotional Freedom:

  • Try EFT: Explore the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which involves tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on negative emotions to release them.

Changing deep-seated beliefs takes time and consistent effort. Be patient with yourself, celebrate small victories, and enjoy the journey of transformation. You have the power to create the life you desire.
